I am a life long resident of Waukesha county — owning  my current home where I have lived for over 35 years, and growing up here as a child in the 1940’s.  I am a retired widow now, so I tend to be frugal.  However, as a retiree I also like to travel on short trips with old friends while I am still able.

My husband died almost seven years ago, and although our family has always had pets  around — usually for one or more of my four children — recent motivations for having a pet around are simply companionship and protection.  Duke (my dog) is a good noise maker and watch dog (he never misses a thing).  Anyhow, when I go on my little trips with friends — usually for a day or two, I am faced with the burden of finding someone to look after Duke.  Usually I have been able to get one of my sons to do this, but at times they are busy with their own lives and families, so at times I am forced to seek the help of neighbors for pet care.  In either of these scenarios the nice point is that Duke can stay at home where he is comfortable.  Now I’ve pondered taking my dog to the kennel, but with their expensive costs; coupled with our current economic recession and the fact that I have very limited income, make this an inviable option in pet care for Duke.  Moreover, I don’t think that I can subject him to the stress associated with that type of option…  So thus began my onerous search to find a home pet sitter in Waukesha.

Now although I have become privy to the inter net, there were very few results in that forum that I was comfortable with…  Its very tough trying to find someone that you can trust to come into your home for the purpose of pet sitting.  I’m  rather certain that I’m not alone on this one?

So here I am, seeking consultation of the public at large for suggestions, references, or whatever in finding a trusted and credible, yet affordable home pet care provider.
